Social Justice, Depolarization, and Threefolding
A Short Course
Building on my talk for the Faust Branch on March 12th on the topic of Social Justice in the Light of Anthroposophy (see link to recording below) I have decided to offer a series of bi-monthly sessions that will build on that presentation but allow more time for conversation and shared inquiry.
I currently envision 5 sessions, 2 in April, 2 in May and 1 in early June. If there is a strong interest to continue in the autumn, I will consider that.
At the moment, I envision each session lasting about 1.5 hours, during which I will bring about 30 to 45 minutes of additional content, followed by a conversation utilizing some light structure to ensure everyone who wishes has a chance to speak, and helping us move toward generative insights and perspectives. I am also open to inviting other people to make short presentations, but I will curate these carefully.
The session will elaborate on the content of the Faust Branch presentation but will also explore new territory including:
The deeper sources of social injustice in America from the perspective of threefolding
The karma of the races in the light of the spiritual geography and mission of North America
The mystery and evolution of masculinity and femininity in the light of spiritual science
Practical approaches to depolarizing America, anthroposophical daughter movement institutions, and ourselves
Before launching this effort I am trying to determine if there is a minimum of 10 people who would like to participate, so please fill out this form if you are interested, which includes a poll for the possible date and times of the sessions. There will be no set fee for this offering but goodwill donations will be accepted and much appreciated. All participants in these sessions will be expected to have listened to my March 12 talk to Faust Branch which can be found here
